For Stephen Chase, the excitement of the creative process lies in the interaction and response between artist and viewer. So it is no surprise that he welcomes your creative input when you commission one of his watercolors, hand painted intaglios or pen and ink illustrations to capture a special memory with art.
Steve's artwork often depicts the beautiful landscape reminiscent of his native Minnesota or his adopted summer residence, Nantucket. His winter scenes reflect the beauty of Michigan's Upper Peninsula where he and his wife, Jane, have a ski house. And his incredible portraits of homes reflect his passion for architecture.
Steve has exhibited at galleries in Minnesota, Nantucket and the Upper Peninsula and his work is in private collections all across America. He is a member of the Minnesota Artists Association.
Stephen holds a BA in Fine Arts and a BS and MA in Art Education, from the University of Minnesota and is working on his PhD in fine arts. He taught Art in the Twin Cities Elementary, Junior and Senior High Schools for 18 years before becoming a realtor. Now, he devotes his time to the creative process as an artist and teacher.
